Job details
Are you passionate about giving communities a voice and shaping public services that truly reflect local needs? Do you want to lead meaningful engagement that drives real change? If so, this could be the role for you.
We’re looking for a Communications Executive (Communications and Engagement) to join our Communications, Engagement and Public Affairs team at Huntingdonshire District Council. In this role, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of engagement activities across the organisation, ensuring a consistent, inclusive and resident-focused approach.
You’ll work closely with services, senior leaders and partners to design and deliver a wide range of activities - from surveys and focus groups to pop-up events and digital engagement. You’ll also manage our online engagement platform and ensure that insights gathered from residents and communities directly shape our policies and services.
This is a key role in strengthening how we listen, involve and respond to our communities, championing inclusive engagement practice and ensuring residents are at the heart of what we do.
About you
We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative professional with a strong understanding of engagement and participation methods. You’ll have experience delivering engagement projects from start to finish and be confident advising others on best practice, including how to engage diverse or seldom-heard groups.
You should have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly, and influence decision-making at all levels.
An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
