Get Active (Cancer)

These exercise classes have been designed for those living with and beyond cancer. The classes have been developed with Hunts Community Cancer Network to be enjoyable and sociable, but also to ensure you get the full benefit of a physical workout.

The classes have been designed with less structure so that we can change the sessions to suit those who are attending. You may be working in pairs, working round a circuit, or taking part in instructor-led exercise sessions. All instructors are qualified in cancer and exercise rehabilitation and will motivate you to keep active and get the best out of each session. They can also give you advice and ideas to help you keep active when going through treatment or even getting back to a normal routine again.

Who can attend?

Anyone with a cancer diagnosis, this may be before treatment, during treatment or those who have finished and are still requiring extra support. We recommend you speak to a Macmillan nurse, a doctor or the Hunts Community Cancer Network to check they are happy for you to attend these classes. Our instructors will also run screenings prior to each session to ensure you are okay to exercise.
