There are a number of seats around the boardwalk at good places for wildlife spotting and relaxing on the island. There are a couple of picnic benches in the open meadow in the centre of the Island. There are no toilet facilities on the island - the nearest toilets are in St Ives town centre.
The Friends look after The Holt, which displays information, identification charts and natural history items to investigate.
Events
The Friends of Holt Island Nature Reserve run a number of events over the year. They may also be able to offer private guided tours for your group - get in touch via the rangers.
Visit the Countryside Events page for details of what's on at parks and nature reserves across the district.
Dog walking
Dogs are welcome on the island, but must be kept on a lead at all times. Owners are asked to clear up and remove their dog’s mess from the island.
Disabled access
There is very limited parking near to the island, but this is not dedicated disabled parking. The island has a circular boardwalk which is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs in all weathers.
