Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC) is welcoming applications for the 2026-27 Community Chest grant scheme, supporting local community groups and organisations to deliver projects that benefit residents across the district.
The scheme aims to help small groups and organisations bring forward community led projects that improve quality of life and wellbeing for residents, in line with HDC’s Corporate Plan priorities.
Applications are encouraged from projects that support physical activity, strengthen social connections, help keep people out of crisis, support people in crisis, or contribute to lowering carbon emissions.
The maximum amount of funding available is £800 for Community Spaces, £1,000 for community events and £2,500 for longer-term projects.
Projects must be based in Huntingdonshire, with the significant majority of beneficiaries being Huntingdonshire residents. Applicants will need to provide a breakdown of how the funding will be spent and demonstrate how their project will be sustainable beyond the grant funding.
