  • Digital Information Screens: Spring 2025 saw the installation of 8 interactive digital screens, 2 in each of the market towns of Huntingdon, St Ives, Ramsey and St Neots. These double-sided kiosks, located in key areas of the towns, provide a wealth of information for visitors and residents, including business information, attractions and local events. In addition to the kiosks, interactive screens have also been installed in Huntingdon Visitor Centre, St Ives Town Hall and St Ives Corn Exchange. Day-to-day content is managed and administered by the town councils (Ramsey, St Ives and St Neots) and Huntingdon First BID (Huntingdon).

  • Shop Front Grant Scheme: The Shop Front Grant Scheme ran over 15 months, from June 2023 to September 2024, supporting local independent businesses across initially our towns, with a district-wide application available prior to the scheme closing date. In total £183,000 was awarded to provide 48 local business with grants to make improvements to the front of their shops, from painting and repairs to signage and full renovation grants up to £10,000 to support business façade renovations.

  • St Ives Community Bandstand Installation: The Community Bandstand, located at the Waits, was completed in 2023 to enhance the town’s cultural identity. The bandstand is already proving a popular venue for the town, with a well-attended Music on the Waits programme running over the summer months.

  • St Neots Town Centre Improvements: Completed in Spring 2025, the St Neots Town Centre Improvements project has transformed the Market Square and High Street into a more welcoming and accessible space. Car parking has been removed from the square to create a larger, open area with new landscaping and seating, providing a vibrant setting for community events and securing the future of the town’s 1,000-year-old charter market. The project also introduced new disabled parking, wider footpaths, a pedestrian crossing at Huntingdon Street and upgraded surfaces to make it easier for everyone to get around. Improved junctions, Advanced Stop Lines and additional cycle parking make the town centre safer and more inviting for walkers and cyclists.

  • New building for the Cromwell Museum: We have worked with the Cromwell Museum Trust and Huntingdon Town Council to facilitate the purchase of a vacant building on the Town’s Market Square. The Museum Trust is now embarking on a long-term project to completely renovate the Grade II Listed building to house a larger Museum space with enhanced facilities for visitors. Working with Huntingdon First BID we provided funding to create a Visitor Centre for the Town. Housed in the Commemoration Hall on the High Street and managed by the BID Team, the Visitor Centre provides a welcoming, face-to-face service for visitors to the town, with not just local information available, but a range of Huntingdon merchandise too, ideal for gifts and mementoes.
