Cinema Feasibility: The team is working with Huntingdon First BID to undertake a comprehensive feasibility study to provide a boutique cinema in the town centre, which would provide a much-needed boost to the town’s nighttime economy.

Public Realm Artwork: We are looking to expand Huntingdon’s murals with an additional piece in the town. We are working with Huntingdon First BID to agree a design and location for a unique artwork which will enhance the visitor experience.

Priory Centre Redevelopment: Construction work on the Priory Centre began in March. The scheme will deliver a complete refurbishment of the existing building alongside the development of entirely new spaces within and adjacent to the property. Major upgrades will be made to the Great Hall, including new balconies to facilitate larger theatre-based events and activities, new hireable rooms for community activities or other events, new bars and new kitchen facilities.
-
Old Falcon Inn: The team has worked with the owner to successfully secure planning consent to bring this important local landmark back into use for commercial and residential purposes. The property owner will now begin work towards beginning the redevelopment. The team will continue to monitor progress and provide appropriate support through to completion.

Ramsey Great Whyte: Exciting proposals are being developed to improve the local environment in the Great Whyte area within the town centre. An important part of this is to provide new ‘Shop in a Box’ small retail units that can be let on a flexible basis and which can also be used to expand and improve the Ramsey Market. Ramsey is fortunate to have very few vacant shop units. The new small units will provide an opportunity to expand and improve the retail choice without competing with existing traders. We are currently working with Cambridgeshire County Council to develop enabling proposals for highway improvements, after which we intend to submit a planning application to the Planning Authority. Delivery is expected to take place in 2026/27.
